Claudia and Adam got married at Rye Town Hall with their reception at the stylish George Hotel in Rye. Their brief was one of my favourites to get which was to; 'Reflect the painting of Caravaggio and to have a nod to native Australian flowers and foliage,' where Adam is from.
Caravaggio was a Baroque painter know for passionate and dramatic paintings, full of dark rich colours and so a dramatic and wild asymmetrical bouquet picked my Claudia. This consisted pink Protea, copper and red Kanaroo Paw and silver toned Eucalyptus (all native to Australia) and burundy, deep red Ranunclus, Scabious and some fiety red Crocosmai, all muted with softest pink garden and sandy Roses.
We decorated the fire places in the Georgian Ballroom with flowing and dramatic arrangments. On the recetion tables we had silver urns packed with flowers, pomegranates, casading Grapes and vintage brass candlesticks with muted red taped candles.
